St.Stephen's School

Class 5JW

Welcome to 5JW, an exceptional class who are taught by the delightful Jennifer Ward and Constance Cooper and ably supported by Ninna Fray. You can find us right at the end of the corridor in Room 18 so please visit to discuss about your child or to see our work.

Year 5 marks the start of Upper Key Stage 2, and with this there are increased expectations of independence, focus, maturity and responsibility.

We are all eager to embrace every new challenge that comes our way and make the most of every minute of learning time in order to be the best we can be. We are determined to work harder than we have done before to be the most successful class in the school.

Although we have a busy year ahead, we are really excited about it and can’t wait to develop our skills across a wide range of interesting topics, including Space, World War II and Biomes. We also look forward to our educational visits and exciting learning opportunities, especially Fairplay House.

We pledge to put our learning first, to support each other and to promote all the rights of the WE CARE charter to develop a positive, kind and happy environment so we all can reach our potential and beyond.

5JW Class Charter

Each class at St. Stephen’s Primary School will complete a class charter, outlining agreements for members of the class and duty bearers (adults). All pupils are entitled to receive their rights. This class charter will form the basis of a display in class, be displayed on the class website page and also be used for class disciplinary matters.
