Class 5HA

Hello and welcome to class 5HA. Our class teacher is Halama Ali and we are based in room 16. Year 5 marks the start of upper key stage 2, and with this there are increased expectations of independence, focus and responsibility.

During the year we will be developing our map skills. We will further explore the continents and learn the significance of the different lines on the Atlas. In science we will be learning about the solar system and gaining an understanding of the seasons. History will continue to be interesting. We will be taking a closer look at the Mayan civilisation and comparing it to events in Britain via a time line.

We have some really exciting visits this year which link directly to the work covered in various areas of the curriculum. We will go on a residential trip to Fairplay House, a visit to the houses of Parliament and other educational adventures.

We pledge to put our learning first, to support each other so we all can achieve our potential and beyond.

5HA -WE CARE Class Charter

Each class at St. Stephen’s Primary School will complete a class charter, outlining agreements for members of the class and duty bearers (adults). All pupils are entitled to receive their rights. This class charter will form the basis of a display in class, be displayed on the class website page and also be used for class disciplinary matters.
