St.Stephen's School

Class 4SH

Hello and welcome to class 4SH!

Our teachers are Sarah Hooper and Laura Hudson and we can be found in Room 15. Together we have created an inspiring WE CARE charter which helps us to create a respectful and caring classroom environment.

This year, we are aspiring for success across all areas of the curriculum, especially in our core subjects. In English, we will use our growing understanding of spelling, grammar and punctuation to produce ambitious writing and experiment with an abundance of new vocabulary. In Maths, we will continue to explore numbers, shape and measure. Moreover, we will be developing our reasoning skills, so we can explain to others how we calculated our answers.

In the foundation subjects, we will build a diverse range of skills as we investigate the world around us. For example in History, we will deepen our understanding of chronology and studying topics such as the Indus Valley. In Geography, we will collect and interpret data and learn about natural and man-made geographical features. We will also be getting creative with designing and making our own slingshot car.

We have already settled in amazingly and look forward to the busy year ahead!

4SH Class Charter

Each class at St. Stephen’s Primary School will complete a class charter, outlining agreements for members of the class and duty bearers (adults). All pupils are entitled to receive their rights. This class charter will form the basis of a display in class, be displayed on the class website page and also be used for class disciplinary matters.
