St.Stephen's School

Class 2TB

Hello and welcome to class 2TB.

Our teacher is Mrs Maryjane Winston and you can find us in Room 9. We are also lucky to have other adults to support us with our work.

In our class, we are excited about all the new learning we will do in Year 2. We are kind children, who help one another. We also try our best at all times, and persevere when we find a task tricky. We are also learning to become more independent by looking after our possessions and keeping the classroom clean and tidy.

In English we will be learning to produce neat, joined handwriting. We will also be learning new grammar skills and writing some amazing stories! In Mathematics we will be learning our times tables, improving our arithmetic skills and exploring different mental strategies to help us solve problems. We must work hard at home and in school to learn our number bonds to 10, 20 and 100 so we can become confident mathematicians!

Year 2 we will also be exploring fascinating topics across the whole curriculum. For example, we will be learning how to keep fit and healthy during P.E. sessions. In Geography, we will investigate different places across the UK and the world, using globes, atlases and maps. During our Art and DT sessions we will work with lots of different media and learn new techniques and create beautiful collages.

We have already settled in brilliantly and are looking forward to all the new exciting challenges ahead!

2TB Class Charter

Each class at St. Stephen’s Primary School will complete a class charter, outlining agreements for members of the class and duty bearers (adults). All pupils are entitled to receive their rights. This class charter will form the basis of a display in class, be displayed on the class website page and also be used for class disciplinary matters.
