Welcome to 6PM!

We are ready for a fantastic year of learning, discovery and new experiences! As the oldest pupils in the school, we have an important role to play and are proud to show younger children what it means to be positive, responsible and inspiring role models.

Our teacher is Patrick McKoen, with Krupali Trivedi providing additional support throughout the year. Our classroom is Room 21, which will be our base for all the exciting learning ahead.

Year 6 is an important milestone in our primary school journey. We will build on everything we have learned so far, developing our knowledge and confidence across Maths, English, Reading, Grammar and Spelling. Along the way, we will be preparing for our SATs in May, approaching each challenge with determination and a positive attitude.

Throughout the year, our Immersive Curriculum will take us on a journey across a wide range of subjects and experiences. In Science, we’ll investigate, experiment and discover how and why things happen. History will allow us to step back in time and uncover stories, people and events from the past, while Geography will help us understand the planet we live on and the physical and human processes that shape it. Our creative learning will be just as exciting. We’ll experiment with different techniques, explore the work of a variety of artists, and take inspiration from different styles and art movements to develop our own ideas and creations.

Throughout the year, we will  be enjoying a fantastic programme of enrichment activities and special Year 6 experiences. We’ll also have the excitement of preparing for our end-of-year production — although what we’ll be performing remains a mystery for now!

There is so much for us to look forward to, and we can’t wait for a final year at St. Stephen’s Primary School that is full of memories, growth and wonderful experiences.
