Class 5AQ

Welcome to 5AQ, a wonderful class filled with talented, enthusiastic and unique children who bring their own strengths and personalities to our learning community. Our class is led by the dedicated and passionate class teacher, Amina Qureshi, and we are fortunate to be supported by Lalita Varsani and Jahanara Ahmed, our experienced senior support staff members, who both play an important role in helping all children thrive.

Throughout the year, the children in 5AQ will continue to develop and strengthen their English skills through a variety of engaging and inspiring texts. We will focus on reading comprehension, grammar, vocabulary development and creative writing, encouraging pupils to become confident and expressive communicators. In Mathematics, we will build fluency and confidence in key areas such as number, calculation, fractions, reasoning and problem-solving, helping children to apply their learning in a range of meaningful contexts.

Our exciting curriculum will also take us on fascinating journeys through history. We will travel back in time to explore World War II and later investigate the Stone Age,  bringing these important periods to life through immersive and cross-curricular learning experiences.

We are looking forward to a fantastic year ahead, filled with curiosity, creativity, challenge, and achievement. We cannot wait to see the progress, successes, and memorable experiences that await every child in 5AQ.
