Year 6 Trip to the Black Cultural Archives
Last week, our Year 6 students had the exciting opportunity to visit the Black Cultural Archives museum in Brixton. Over the course of three days, each class explored the museum and delved into the rich history of the Windrush Generation. The children had the chance to see artifacts like a vintage ticketing machine, a typewriter, and a gas heater, offering a tangible glimpse into life during that time.
This culturally enriching experience was not only engaging but also tied in perfectly with our ongoing history studies. The children had a fantastic time learning about a vital part of British history that continues to shape our world today.
