Year 6 Immersive Writing Week

Our Year 6 students recently embarked on an unforgettable journey of creativity and discovery during our Immersive Writing Week. Over three days, the children explored three diverse and inspiring locations: Greenwich, Canary Wharf, and Epping Forest.

Each site provided a unique setting to spark their imaginations and expand their writing skills. In Canary Wharf, students stepped into the role of journalists, using the bustling, modern environment as inspiration for crafting detailed newspaper articles. In Greenwich, the area’s rich history and urban charm provided the perfect contrast to the serene natural beauty of Epping Forest, forming the basis for comparative writing. Finally, the tranquil forest setting inspired students to create vivid and reflective poems, celebrating the wonder of the natural world.

This enriching experience encouraged our students to think creatively, hone their writing techniques and connect with the world around them in new and meaningful ways. We are incredibly proud of their outstanding writing outcomes and the enthusiasm they brought to each task.

Thank you to everyone involved in making Immersive Writing Week such a success!
