Year 5 and 6 more able trip to a publishing house

Pupils from Years 5 and 6 recently visited the Andersen Press publishing house for an exciting and inspiring more-able trip. During the visit, the children enjoyed a special author talk with Amelia Giudici, who works at our school and has just published her first book, Anya and the Light Above the Ocean. The pupils also learned about the many different jobs involved in publishing a book, hearing from the publishers about the journey from the first idea all the way through to the finished book. It was a fantastic opportunity for the children to gain insight into the world of publishing, and the day ended with each pupil receiving a signed copy of Amelia’s book to take home.
