Year 5 Residential Trip to Fairplay House 2025

Year 5 had an incredible time on their two-night residential trip to Fairplay House! For many children, it was their first time staying away from home, and they rose to the challenge brilliantly—showing growing independence, resilience, and a real sense of responsibility. From making their own beds to helping out at mealtimes, the children took pride in looking after themselves and supporting each other.

The trip was packed with exciting outdoor activities that pushed everyone to try something new and step out of their comfort zones. Highlights included the exhilarating high ropes course, the adventurous caving experience, the heart-racing big swing, and fun woodland games that had everyone laughing and working together. One of the most memorable moments was the night walk, where the children explored the surroundings by torchlight and enjoyed the magic of the woods after dark.

It was a fantastic few days of challenge, discovery and team spirit—an experience that built confidence and created memories to last a lifetime.
