Year 3's Visit to The Science Museum
On Tuesday 18th June, Year 3 went on an exciting visit to the Science Museum in South Kensington. After an eventful London Underground tube journey, we finally arrived hungry but raring to go.
Year 3 quickly ate their tasty lunch and then went off to explore all the wonders of the museum. The children particularly enjoyed visiting the 'Making the Modern World' Gallery, where they saw iconic objects that have transformed our lives in the last 250 years. Some of the historical items they saw were the Apollo 10, a spaceship that was launched in 1969, and the first Apple computer.
The children were also excited to see some early aircraft, which they linked to their immersive learning about Amelia Earhart. The 'Who Am I?' Interactive Gallery also kept the children’s interest as they explored a variety of objects and artworks focused on what makes us unique.
We wished there was more time to explore; however, we all thoroughly enjoyed our educational visit.
