Year 3 Visit to the Museum of London
On Wednesday the 5th of October, all Year 3 classes went together on an enrichment trip to the museum of London.
We travelled on the tube and enjoyed exploring how to use the London tube map. During our ride, we were using the maps to track our journey and we couldn’t wait to arrive at our destination.
At the museum, we were very lucky to visit the War, Plague and Fire exhibition. During this half-term we have been learning all about the Plague and throughout our trip we were on a scavenger hunt to find different objects that we had learned about in school during our Immersive learning lessons. We also found it very exciting to see artifacts dating all the way back to 1665. What we enjoyed the most however, were the interactive activities in the museum, where we got to touch and also wear the equipment!
We were also very fortunate to be able to visit the World cities exhibition, where we got to explore how London has changed over the years. Amazingly, we saw the London 2012 Olympic torch, which was spectacular and got us really excited for our topic next half-term, the London 2012 Olympics.
We had a day full of learning in the museum and of course at the end of the day, we were all exhausted. However, we loved our experience and can't wait to visit a museum again!
