Year 3 Lunar New Year Assembly

On Thursday, 13th February, Year 3 delivered a vibrant and captivating performance in celebration of the Lunar New Year.This is a festival observed across many countries, including China, Vietnam, and Singapore. After weeks of dedication and hard work, the children proudly shared their performance with both their peers and families.

It began with a traditional dragon dance, followed by a retelling of the festival’s origins. The performance concluded with a beautiful Chinese fan dance and singing a Lunar New Year song, bringing the celebration to a heartfelt close.

Throughout the process of creating this performance, the pupils gained a deeper understanding of the significance of teamwork, as well as the importance of family and friends—values that are universal across all cultures and communities.
