Year 3 Local Resident visitors
As part of our Immersive Learning week about the impact of the 2012 Olympics on Newham (Geography), Year 3 were given the opportunity to interview three local residents. Parent Governor Mohsin Amdavadi, Fozia Ramazan and Ninna Fray all kindly took time out of their day to chat to each class about their experiences of this momentous occasion. Our parent governor, Mohsin Amdavadi, was kind enough to talk to us about the effects of the Olympics on his business, but also what it meant to him as a father. Fozia gave us some fascinating insights into what was happening at St Stephen's during those iconic few weeks and Ninna told us all about her attempt to get tickets and how lucky she was to catch a glimpse of the Team GB open top bus parade in Central London! As well as learning all about the legacy of the 2012 Olympic Games, the children got to practise their interviewing and note taking skills. It was an informative and fun morning for all.
