Year 3/4 Football Tournament

The Year 3 and 4 football club were invited to take part in a competition with 15 other Newham schools in an event held at Langdon Academy. This was the first event that the children had attended and were anxious to see how a tournament would work. We played five matches within our group with the winner of the group going on to play in the quarter finals. Unfortunately, we were overwhelmed with the skill of the other players and we did not reach the quarter finals. We learnt a lot about how successful teams play and will be using it in our football sessions in the future. We hope to attend further tournaments and bring back a trophy next time.
