St.Stephen's School

Year 2 Seaside Visit

I boarded the huge, double decker bus. I felt excited and happy because I have never been to the beach before. I saw lots of trees, buildings and people along the way. I was sitting with my friend and the sun was as fiery as stars. I packed a bucket and spade, sun hat and a pair of sunglasses. The weather was sunny but there was a little wind. It took a long time to get to the beach and I felt really happy.

Finally our long tedious journey was over and we arrived at the glistening beach. As I stepped out I put my bag down so that I could start building a humongous sandcastle. I decorated my sandcastle with some pretty shells. I collected the shells from the ground. I put a shiny one in my pocket to take it home. I made a giant hole with my friend Ruthba. The hole was very deep so we put some sea weed inside. After that we had lunch and I ate a sandwich, some water and crisps. After lunch I made another sandcastle. Have you ever built a sandcastle at the beach?

I felt very happy after lunch because our teachers brought us a ice cream. It was delicious and creamy and it was a vanilla flavour. The cone was like a biscuit. Then it was time to go back to school. I was extremely tired and I wanted to go to sleep but I could not because Rida was making too much nose. I asked her to keep the noise down. Finally we got to school and it was home time.

My favourite part of the day was when I ate the yummy ice cream. I think you should also go to the beach. I am sure you would love it too!
