Year 2 Polar Express Fundraiser

Year 2 enjoyed an exciting Polar Express Day, bringing the story to life through a range of immersive activities. It was wonderful to see both children and teachers arrive in their pyjamas, ready to embark on a magical journey.

Throughout the day, the children participated in creative and engaging tasks, including designing tickets, playing pass-the-parcel, and exploring characters from the story through drama. They shared predictions about what might happen next and worked together in small groups to reenact scenes, making the story truly come alive.

The children also took part in a hands-on baking activity, making delicious cookies. They worked as a team to mix ingredients, roll out the dough, and cut shapes using cookie cutters. Later, they enjoyed their cookies while seated on their train, with extra treats sold in the KS1 playground at the end of the day.
