Year 2 - Holiday Sewing Kits

Year 2 were delighted to receive their special Sewing Kits as a holiday gift from St Stephens Primary School. The children had a range of designs to choose from, such as monsters, fruits and jungle animals. Sewing can help children to strengthen the muscles in their fingers which in turn can develop their handwriting and drawing skills. Many of the children decided to give their sewing creations to their parents as a Christmas present. We are excited to put our sewing skills to use this term during our DT lesson where we will be attempting to make our very own cushion!
