Year 1 Visit to Green Street Library

Our Year 1 pupils enjoyed a wonderful visit to Green Street Library this week. The children were excited to explore the different areas of the library and discover the huge variety of books available from picture books and early readers to fascinating non-fiction titles. They learned how libraries help us find information, enjoy stories, and develop our interests.

The librarian showed the class how to use the borrowing system, explained how books are organised, and talked about how everyone in the community can use the library to learn and relax. The children were especially enthusiastic about choosing books to look through and sharing their discoveries with friends.

The visit helped build confidence in using a public library and sparked lots of conversation about reading, favourite authors, and new topics to explore. Please take the time to visit Green Street Library with your family!
