Year 1 Parents Phonics Workshop

On Tuesday 18th October, the Year 1 team hosted a Parents Phonics Workshop. We were delighted with the positive parent turnout, who listened attentively to strategies to support their children’s learning.

Parents observed an enthusiastic mini phonics lesson where their children were able to demonstrate the skills they have already learnt. Teachers shared tips and techniques to support their children’s phonics learning and love of reading.

After the presentation, parents visited our resource tables and were able to buy phonics workbooks or talk to the teachers about specific issues and ideas to support their children.

The Year 1 team would like to thank our parents for their continued support and enthusiasm and look forward to working with them in the coming term.
