Y6 Science Museum Trip

To celebrate the end of SATs and recognise the tremendous hard work, resilience and determination shown throughout the year, our Year 6 pupils enjoyed an exciting and well-deserved trip to the Science Museum in London.

One of the highlights of the visit was an immersive 3D film experience in the iconic IMAX cinema. The film transported children back in time to explore the fascinating world of archaeology, prehistoric life and the age of the dinosaurs. The stunning visuals and realistic effects brought history to life and captivated the audience from start to finish.

Pupils also had the opportunity to visit the popular Wonderlab, where they explored a range of interactive exhibits designed to inspire curiosity and deepen their understanding of scientific concepts. Some children were fortunate enough to watch a live science demonstration, where they witnessed the dramatic burning and freezing of different materials. This spectacular experiment sparked excitement and encouraged children to think like scientists.

Throughout the day, children explored many of the museum’s fascinating galleries, including impressive displays of aircraft, space technology and historic vehicles. A particular favourite was seeing the remarkable NASA spacecraft and learning more about space exploration and scientific discovery.

The trip was a fantastic way to celebrate the children's achievements following SATs and provided an inspiring day filled with learning, exploration and fun. Year 6 represented the school brilliantly and returned with many exciting memories to share.
