Y6 Production 2023

The lights were set, the cameras were ready, now all that was needed was....ACTION!

On Thursday 13th July, Year 6 were finally able to perform their end of year production of The Wizard of Oz to their parents after working extremely hard for several weeks.

As people took their seats, the buzz of excitement was electric backstage as children got into their costumes and put on their make up. With the first note of the first song "Oh the things you can think" the performance was filled with energy and enthusiasm from all children; a moment I'm sure they, and audience, will remember. The children all performed with confidence, and their acting skills shone brightly on the night.

Our production of The Wizard of Oz was filled with messages about tolerance, acceptance and equality. These are messages that are vitally important for all our children to hear, and we hope they will carry these forward as they start their next chapter.

We would like to thank the Year 6 Team - Elin, Amina, Annie, Chetan, Jash and Fahima - for working so incredibly hard over the past few weeks with the children to prepare and practise for the final performance. A special mention must also be made to the main cast, who worked tirelessly to bring their characters to life and performed with confidence and expression on the night.
