Y6 Prevent Workshop

Our Year 6 pupils recently took part in an engaging workshop and presentation focused on online safety and critical thinking, delivered in line with the UK Government’s PREVENT programme. The session helped pupils explore how misinformation and disinformation can appear online, particularly content created or altered using artificial intelligence (AI).

Through discussion and practical examples, pupils learned how to question what they see and read online, spot warning signs of unreliable information, and understand why not everything on the internet can be trusted. The workshop encouraged pupils to think carefully, ask questions, and make informed choices when using digital platforms.

This session supported our ongoing commitment to safeguarding, digital literacy, and helping pupils become confident, responsible, and resilient users of technology.
