Y5 Parent Workshop

Year 5 had a fabulous Secrets of the Amazon Parent Workshop! We enjoyed showing our parents everything we had been learning about this half term. We rotated round different classrooms, each time showcasing different skills linked to our learning about Brazil and the Amazon.  

We practised carnival loom weaving, samba drumming and made posters about deforestation and climate change. Did you know that the Amazon rainforest is home to 10% of known species on earth? However it is rapidly disappearing. We talked about solutions that were possible.
