Y2 Parent Workshop 2026

All three Year 2 classrooms were buzzing with creativity and excitement as we welcomed parents in for a special workshop linked to our Ancient Romans topic on Wednesday the 18th March. Together, children and their families took on the challenge of designing and making a decorative pillow fit for an emperor!

The workshop provided a wonderful opportunity for parents to experience learning alongside their children. Using a range of sewing techniques and colourful thread, each pair carefully crafted their own unique pillow, inspired by the luxury and grandeur of Roman times. From bold patterns to regal details, the finished creations truly reflected the children’s growing understanding of Roman life.

It was fantastic to see such enthusiasm, teamwork and imagination throughout the session. Thank you to all the parents who joined us and helped make the workshop such a memorable and successful experience for everyone involved.
