Y1 Diwali Performance

We had such a fantastic time putting on our Diwali performance! The children worked so hard to learn their songs, including “O Diwali” and “This Little Light of Mine,” and their singing really filled the hall with joy and excitement. They also performed a lively dance, showing off their energy and enthusiasm, and retold the story of Rama and Sita in their own creative way, helping everyone understand the meaning and traditions of Diwali.

It was lovely to see how proud the children were of themselves as they performed, and their confidence really shone through. So many parents came to watch, and it was wonderful to see the children’s faces light up as their families cheered them on. The hall was full of laughter, smiles, and excitement, and it felt like a real celebration of our school community coming together.

The performance was more than just singing and dancing—it was about sharing stories, learning about a special festival, and celebrating the importance of light, kindness, and togetherness. Everyone involved, from the children to the staff and parents, helped make the day so memorable. It was a truly special occasion, and we feel so proud of all the children for all their hard work and creativity!
