World Book Day 2026

This year, World Book Day was a fantastic whole-school celebration where everyone took part in a range of creative activities. The book of the day was A Tale of Two Shoes, and to mark the occasion everyone wore red. Children designed their own shoes, created story books, wrote poems and even had class debates!  

Alongside this, the school also celebrated International Women's Day. Children had the opportunity to research and create projects about different inspirational women.  Their fantastic work was proudly displayed in the school reception, where pupils, staff and visitors could enjoy learning about these remarkable role models.

It was a fantastic day enjoyed by all, and we will continue to nurture a love of reading across the school every day.
