World Book Day 2024

This year, we celebrated World Book Day on Thursday 7th March 2024! The whole school read and enjoyed the wordless picture book Journey by Aaron Becker. It’s an epic story about a little girl who goes on a nail-biting adventure, with the help of a magical red pen which she uses to escape perilous situations. We tried to channel some of that magic for ourselves by coming to school dressed in red for the day! All of our learning that day was based around the book: we read the story, did some amazing creative writing based on it, drew our own illustrations and then, in the afternoon, we did some book making of our own!

We had a great day and are already looking forward to World Book Day 2025!
