Wear White for Peace Day

As a federation, we have all been shocked and saddened by the unfolding events in Israel and Palestine and the escalating impact for all. Our school's core values centre around promoting acceptance, empathy, understanding and instilling a sense of responsibility in our children.

Through our Article 13 sessions, we have been able to take an age-appropriate approach to this troubling subject, allowing an outlet of discussion for those who need it. As well as having this opportunity, on Friday 1st December, the federation took part in "Wear White for Peace" day, where teachers conducted lessons around peace and its significance.

From Monday 27th November to Friday 1st December, families and children donated money for the Humanitarian Appeal, coordinated through the Red Cross.  The Red Cross are a humanitarian charity that stands for neutrality and impartiality in times of crisis and donations made to the appeal go towards helping people in Israel, Gaza and the West Bank affected by the conflict. Through this fundraising opportunity, the federation collected £422.55 to support those most impacted by the fighting - children, those separated from their loved ones and those in dire need of basic necessities like food and water.

We would like to thank our school community for your ongoing generosity and support.
