Walking in the air

Just when we thought we couldn’t fit in any more festive treats this week, our very own modern ensemble delighted us with a beautiful performance of ‘Walking in the Air’ from The Snowman. These talented young musicians meet weekly to rehearse with James, our piano and drum teacher, and all receive individual piano lessons alongside their ensemble work.

The pupils dedicate time outside of lessons to practise their own parts, demonstrating an impressive level of commitment and teamwork. This standard of musicianship requires hard work, resilience, patience and perseverance, and we are incredibly proud of the effort they have shown.

The performance was such a success that they were invited to play not once, but twice more! It was a truly magical moment and a wonderful way to end the term on a high note.
