The Coronation Ball

As part of our celebrations for the King’s coronation last week, we held a very special Coronation Ball for the children. Each of our three reception classes partnered up with a class in the nursery and taught them a new dance routine, which they performed together on the day. It was wonderful to see them interacting so positively with each other and we were delighted with how well the reception children took on the responsibility of being role models for the younger ones. Well done everyone!

The children also enjoyed a wide range of classroom activities focussed on the coronation, including making crowns, reading some royal-themed books and writing invitations to the ball. We finished up with a special lunch of fish and chips and cake on Friday. What a fantastic week.
