Summer Recital
On Tuesday 11th June we celebrated our musical skills and achievements with a Summer Recital.
The Sambistas rocked the house with their authentic samba sounds. They will be representing the school at the national Music for Youth Festival in Birmingham next month. The choir marked 100 years since the birth of composer Benjamin Britten by singing his haunting song 'Old Abram Brown'.

A host of guitarists, flautists and clarinettists from years 5 and 6 performed solos, duets and quartets for us. We are very grateful to the Every Child a Musician teachers, Susie Sharpe and Mark McGlynn, for all their hard work.

The staff band were back by popular demand, and this year they were joined by the ukulele club. For the first time, we also had a student band. Nathan, Muhfuz and Gabriel, also known as '3MB', performed their version of Bob Marley's 'Stir It Up'. For a rousing finale, everyone came together to perform 'Lean On Me'. Well done to all our performers for creating such a wonderful concert!
