St Stephen’s MacMillan Cake Sale
On Friday 30th September St Stephen’s hall and Nursery were filled to bursting with all sorts of sweet and savoury treats. We had everything from cheese and spinach tarts to delectable 2 tiered chocolate cakes!
The staff had also put on an incredibly impressive spread of home baked cakes, as part of our St Stephen’s Staff Bake Off competition. Our very own Bake Off judge Sue Leith had the difficult job of judging the entries with Misbah Dah taking home the winners apron.
The Year 6 students were also invited to the Cake Sale, where their maths skills were put to the test calculating their expenses, and their manners and etiquette were on show as they put in their cake orders eloquently and politely.
It was an exceptionally successful event raising well over £1,000 for MacMillan Cancer Support, a charity very close to many of our hearts, and who do such important work!
We simply could not have achieved this success without the amazing support from all the parents and community members and their enormous generosity, so we would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who came.
