St.Stephen's School

St. Stephen’s Federation World Cultural Day 2026

As a federation, we were delighted to come together to celebrate World Cultural Day 2026, a special event dedicated to recognising and embracing the rich diversity within our school communities.

Children arrived proudly dressed in clothing that reflected their culture, heritage and identity, creating a vibrant display of traditions from around the world. Prior to the event, pupils completed an 'All About Me' homework project, which they shared with their peers. These presentations sparked meaningful discussions about the importance of heritage, culture and belonging, helping children to develop a deeper understanding of both themselves and others.

As part of the celebrations, each class created a unique bunting display. Every child designed a personalised flag that represented their individual identity, culture and heritage, resulting in a beautiful and colourful showcase of our diverse school community.

Throughout the day, children participated in a range of exciting activities inspired by different cultures from around the world. They explored international cuisine through cooking, created vibrant pieces of art influenced by global traditions and learned dances from different countries. These engaging experiences encouraged curiosity, respect and appreciation for the many cultures that enrich our federation.

World Cultural Day was a wonderful celebration of diversity, unity and inclusion, reminding us that while we may come from many different backgrounds, we all belong to one welcoming and supportive school community.
