STEM Week
All the children in the school took part in STEM week focusing on Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. The children throughout the school took part in the ‘City of Tomorrow’ competition where they designed and built and building of the future. The winning groups will be representing us in the national final in April.
Throughout the week, maths workshops were held where the children solved practical problem solving activities. Alongside this, all the children took part in a Number Fluency or times table’s competition in which the class average score and a head to head completion gave us 3 winning classes: 2JW, 4EW and 5JW.
The children completed science projects both in school and at home. These projects were displayed in a science fair which was attended by parents.
