SEND Enrichment Visit- The London Aquarium

This week, the SEND team took some Key Stage 2 pupils on an exciting Enrichment trip into central London to visit the London Aquarium. This linked to the theme of Sea Creatures, which we have been learning about through Art, Music and Curriculum lessons in our SEND Hub.

The trip enabled us to develop important life skills, as we took the train into Westminster and looked at the underground map to figure out where to alight the train. We learned about how to stay safe and calm in a noisy, crowded environment and to be courteous towards members of the public. We loved spotting some famous London landmarks we have learned about in our classes, such as the London Eye and Big Ben!

The London Aquarium was mesmerising and we enjoyed exploring all that it had to offer. We saw scary sharks, stripy clownfish, colourful jellyfish and many more. As well as sea creatures, we also enjoyed looking at their rainforest and arctic areas, where we spotted some slithering snakes and cute penguins. Please take a look at some of the amazing photos we took below.

We are very grateful to our teachers and our school for organising this fantastic opportunity.
