St.Stephen's School

Red Nose Day

On Friday 13th March 2015 the school council members helped run one of the most important days of the year – Red Nose Day, which focused on every child’s right to an education. Luckily for us this coincided with Mum’s Morning and gave us the amazing opportunity to work with our mums, discussing their experiences of education from around the world and in the local community. The student council members confidently lead our assembly, looking closely at a child Ngosa and her experiences of education, or the lack of. We learned that a small amount of money could help children like Ngosa go to school and whatever amount we raised would mean that we will be helping children from around the world get the right to an education that they deserve.

The pupils, parents and staff of St Stephen’s Primary School and Children’s Centre were extremely generous, helping to raise £1270.91 for Comic Relief. Children from around the world now have a better chance of an education.

Thank you for your generosity and we look forward to next year.
