Reception trip to Plashet Park

This week, we enjoyed a lovely walk to Plashet Park, making the most of the sunshine and crisp weather. Along the way, we explored the difference between deciduous and evergreen leaves, sparking curiosity about how nature changes with the seasons.

The children had a fantastic time playing in the fallen leaves, gathering them for closer inspection, and trying their hand at bark rubbing to create unique textures on paper. We also embarked on a calming nature walk, pausing to listen carefully to the sounds around us – from birdsong to the rustle of leaves in the breeze.

It was a day filled with discovery, creativity, and connection with the natural world.
