Reception Visit to Snaresbrook Forest
On Wednesday 3rd July, our Reception children enjoyed a wonderful visit to Snaresbrook Forest, exploring the natural environment and taking part in a variety of enriching activities. We travelled by bus and then hurried excitedly to the forest entrance. We began the trip by stomping along a muddy path, exploring the trees and looking at the different leaves.
When we came to the pond we were thrilled, as there were many ducks and swans at the edge for us to say hello to. We had a great time naming all the different birds and watching them swim around. After that, we enjoyed a delicious picnic in the forest.
The trip concluded with some free time to draw, before walking back to the buses, collecting natural resources along the way.
The children were a credit to the school on the journeys to and from the forest, and we’d like to thank all of the parents who supported us on the trip. What a fantastic day!
