Reception Pyjama Day
Emily Brown Themed Week
Our Reception unit has been buzzing with excitement as the children took part in a special Pyjama Day, inspired by the much-loved story of Emily Brown and the Thing. Dressed in their cozy pyjamas, the children immersed themselves in storytelling, role-play, and engaging activities that brought the book to life.
We hosted an Emily Brown-themed Parent Workshop, highlighting the vital role of Phonics and Early Reading in children’s development. Parents explored fun, interactive ways to support their child’s literacy journey at home, gaining valuable insights into phonics strategies and storytelling techniques. Parents, we hope you found this useful and supportive!
To top off our themed week, our Reception children and families came together for a fundraiser, raising over £200 through a delightful bake sale! The event featured a delicious selection of treats, including samosas, sprinkle cake, brownies, popcorn, and jelly, all generously contributed by our wonderful Reception Team. The success of this fundraiser not only showcased the generosity and enthusiasm of our families but also reinforced the importance of teamwork and shared experiences in our Reception unit. Thank you to everyone who participated and supported our efforts!
