Reception Forest Adventure

A Forest Adventure to Remember! 🌳👑🦆

Our forest adventure got off to a slightly soggy start, with the weather keeping us guessing all morning. Luckily, by the time we set off, the clouds had done us a favour and the sun came out to join the fun!

We hopped aboard the mighty 101 bus to Aldersbrook and, of course, no bus journey would be complete without a rousing rendition of The Wheels on the Bus. The passengers were very lucky to enjoy our performance!

Once we arrived, we became true forest explorers. We paused to listen carefully to the sounds around us, searched for minibeasts hiding under rocks and logs, and watched ducks frolicking happily in the pond. We even tried our hand at drawing them—some looked remarkably duck-like!

After all that investigating, it was definitely time for lunch. Sandwiches and some particularly delicious crisps were on the menu, although everyone knew the golden rule: sandwich first, crisps second!

Feeling refreshed, we gathered leaves, flowers and other natural treasures to create beautiful forest crowns, transforming ourselves into the kings and queens of the woodland. We played 

 using pine cones, had great fun with the parachute, and made the most of every minute outdoors.

By the time we climbed back on the bus and returned to school, we were tired, happy, and full of stories from a fantastic day in the forest. What an adventure!
