Reception Christmas Performance 2025

Our Reception classes once again stole the show with a wonderfully heart-warming Christmas performance! The children brought the Nativity to life with their sparkle, their songs and their angelic dance moves. With favourites such as Angel’s Message, The Shepherds, Off We Go to Bethlehem, and of course the classic We Wish You a Merry Christmas, they filled the hall with joy, confidence and an enthusiasm that could melt even the frostiest snowman. We were incredibly proud of every single performer!

As we head into the Christmas break, we hope you enjoy plenty of quality time with your little ones — talking, playing, visiting loved ones, and most importantly… reading together. Each family received a Phase 2 phonics sound chart during Parent Consultation Day, and the children now have their very own library cards. So why not take a festive stroll to Green Street Library and let them choose a book (or five)?

Research shows that developing a love of reading later in life starts right now — and whether a young adult becomes someone who reads for pleasure is overwhelmingly influenced by whether they were read to and with when they were small. So snuggle up, grab a story, and let the magic of books do its thing!
