St.Stephen's School

Medical student visit

On Monday, 11th November, our school was lucky enough to welcome two final-year medical students, Dalvin and Ezinne! They gave fascinating talks to children in Year 2 and Year 6, leaving everyone inspired and eager to learn more about the world of medicine.

For the younger students in Year 2, Dalvin and Ezinne focused on oral health and general well-being. The session was full of useful tips on how to take care of our teeth and stay healthy. They also discovered that taking care of their overall health can help them grow strong and happy.

In Year 6, the talk took a deeper dive into the world of medicine and the many exciting careers within it. Dalvin and Ezinne shared stories of their own journeys to becoming medical students, and discussed the various skills and interests students can start developing now if they want to work in healthcare. The session also included plenty of opportunities for the children to ask questions.

The visit was an exciting and inspiring experience for all the students, and we’re sure many will be thinking about careers in medicine after hearing from Dalvin and Ezinne. Who knows, maybe we’ll have some future doctors and healthcare heroes right here in our school!
