Macmillan Coffee afternoon
On 29th September 2017, St. Stephen's staff, parents and pupils all joined together for a Macmillan Coffee afternoon in the school hall. This worthwhile charity wants to reach and improve the lives of everyone living with cancer and to inspire millions of others to do the same. There are 2.5 million people living with cancer in the UK today, and as more people live longer with their cancer, this number is set to grow to 4 million by 2030. The contributions of cakes and savoury dishes by parents and staff meant that this was a really successful event with sumptuous samosas, charming chocolate cakes and many other delicious delicacies. It was a great opportunity for the staff and local community to come together. We raised £686.31 for Macmillan Cancer research.
