MacMillan Dress Up and Dance Day
On Friday 21st June, the whole school took part in a fundraising event for Macmillan Cancer Care called Dress Up and Dance Day. All the children (and staff) made a donation of one pound and wore their favourite dance outfits then learned a specially choreographed dance. This was an important project for St. Stephen’s because the DVD that MacMillan sent to schools all over the country featured our pupils demonstrating how to do the dance moves!
Dress Up and Dance Day was a great success as the children who appeared in the DVD visited each year group to teach them the dances, then the whole school performed the routine together at the end of the day. The school’s support of MacMillan will continue with the money raised by the Speedmark event being donated to the excellent work that they do to help those who suffer from cancer.
