KEY STAGE 2 - LION KING VISIT

On 11th December, our Key Stage 2 children had an unforgettable opportunity to attend the acclaimed West End production of The Lion King

From the moment the curtain rose, the performance captivated everyone with its breathtaking special effects, dazzling costumes, and awe-inspiring puppetry. It truly was a magical experience that left both children and staff in awe!

Maryam from Year 5 said that the Lion King production was absolutely spectacular and as soon as the curtains rolled up everyone's jaw dropped and she felt goosebumps as soon as the performance began!

Mahveen, also from Year 5, explained that the Lion King show was outstanding and that she had never seen anything quite like that in her life before! One of her most favourite quotes was by the characters Timon and Pumba who said 'Hakuna Matata!' It means 'No Worries' and it makes her smile every time she remembers the song. "As soon as I heard them start to sing that song, it gave me shivers inside!" she said.

Maryam's favourite part was about putting the past behind you because it is always important to look ahead!

We couldn't agree more!

To enrich the experience further, the children engaged in pre- and post-show learning activities, diving deep into the story and themes of The Lion King. Some creative work will be proudly displayed in the school entrance hall—do take a moment to admire it next time you visit!

This incredible trip was made possible thanks to the generosity of our sponsor, Ark Build PLC, who provided significant financial support, allowing us to keep ticket costs remarkably affordable for families.

We are so proud to provide opportunities like this that bring learning to life in such an inspiring way.
