St.Stephen's School

Indian Delegates

Recently, St. Stephen’s was lucky enough to welcome 33 delegates from different regions of India. These esteemed visitors included Kulbhushan Sharma, president of National Independent Schools Association (NISA), Dr. Sanyam Bhardwaj, controller of examinations (CBSE) and head teachers from some of the top schools in India.

Together, the delegates and our school leadership team shared presentations about education systems, visions and ethos. This was followed by a school assembly, where our choir performed to the visitors, which was thoroughly enjoyed by all.

We followed this performance with a tour of the school, the delegates were especially interested in how our curriculum is formed, how we assess our pupils as well as the services our Children’s Centre provides for our community. The delegates also spent some time in classes and saw a range of lessons including science, geography, maths and music and were thoroughly impressed by what they saw.

The visit was part of the Excellence in School Awards, which recognises the contribution of people associated in the field of education.
