Health Event
What better way to spend a cold January evening than at St Stephen’s School and Katherine Road Community Centre joint Health Event. The event coincided with the school and nursery parents evening and was attended by over 120 local residents.
A number of local voluntary organisations including the ‘Stroke Association’ and ‘Cancerkin’ were there providing support, information and massages. Healthy vegetable wraps were provided by the ‘Food Academy’ and delicious smoothies by ‘Blendavenda’.
There were opportunities for youngsters to take part in football skills and activities run by the West Ham United community sports team and the mascot ‘Bubbles’ provided a great photo opportunity.
All in all the event was a great success and hopefully the health of the local Green Street population has improved as a result.
