HNF Visit- Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park
This week, pupils in receipt of Higher Needs Funding in Reception, Year 1, Year 2 and Year 3 went on an exciting educational visit to the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in Stratford. The purpose behind the visit was to consolidate learning around the Inclusion Hub core book, "Creepy Crawley Calypso"; to further develop climbing skills learned in SEND PE sessions; and to build valuable life skills such as road safety.
First we took the bus to Stratford and we all assembled on the special race track at the Olympic Park. We then read our core book and made predictions about the plants and animals we might find in the park. We then investigated and found grasses, flowers, trees, sticks, slugs, butterflies and snails! We then ate some delicious snacks prepared by our brilliant kitchen team. After that, we played some parachute games led by our PE coach. Finally, we enjoyed playing in the sand and practising our climbing skills in the adventure playground.
Thank you to the SEND team and our dedicated team of EAs for creating such special memories for the children.
