Forest Trip

On Tuesday this week, our Reception children enjoyed a wonderful visit to the forest, exploring the natural environment and taking part in a variety of enriching activities.

The children began the trip by stomping along a muddy path, before pausing for a story about an elvish king who lives inside a magical tree. They then took a seat by a beautiful lake and drew pictures of the surrounding wildlife. After a quick picnic, we walked through the woods and saw the bluebells, which we have been learning about in class using the book The Lost Words. We finished with a series of games, before walking back to the buses, collecting some natural resources along the way.

The children were a credit to the school on the journeys to and from the forest, and we’d like to thank all of the parents who supported us on the trip. What a fantastic day!
